Sub verb agreement 

1.दो पर्यायवाची and से जुड़े हों तो

Verb singular

 Honesty and integrity is the best policy.

Your bravery and audacity has been praised

2.दो शब्द एक व्यक्ति और वस्तु को बताते हैं तो verb singular आयेगी 

The poet and painter has died  morning.

दो शब्द मिलकर एक भाव ,अर्थ  या phrase के रुप में आये तो verb singular 

Bread and butter is good breakfast.


Drinking and driving is cause of accident.

 कुछ शब्द दो  भागों से मिलकर बने होते हैं +plural verb

मगर इनसे पहले a pair लगा दिया ‌जाये तो verb singular 

Binoculars/pliers/shoes/socks/jeans/pants/trousers/pliers/scissors+plural verb

A pair +shoes.....singular subject 

Shoes are expensive 

A pair of shoes is expensive

Mathematics, physics, economics,politics , statistics innings +singular verb

My/his/their/her/your+above words------plural verb


Politics is not good for everyone 

You politics are diplomatic

Deer+fish/fruit+sheep का बहुवचन नहीं होता है। Verb  सन्दर्भ के अनुसार आयेगी 

There are  too many sheep in a meadow 

A sheep is grazing in a meadow

People, police ,gentry ,cattle ,alphabet ,infantry 

इनके साथ हमेशा plural verb आयेगी।

The police are investigating the murder

The gentry are not good in shanty town

There के बाद कोई शब्द युग्म के रूप में आये तो verb singular 

There is rice and  curry  in saucer 

There  are rice and chapatis in saucer

One of +superlative degree+plural noun ----singular verb


One of +superlative degree+plural noun+who/which/that+plural verb

One of के बाद singular or plural verb दोनों आ सकती है।

One of the best students is getting the first rank

Or

One of the best students who are getting the first rank

Many a +singular noun +singular verb

Many a के बाद दोनों singular

Many a boy is going to school 

Many a child is playing in play ground.

Various+both +several+plural verb

Both students are going to school 

Several people were going to temple

Each other का प्रयोग दो के लिए होता हो

Two+each other

Two students are quarreling with each other

Three+one another 

One another का प्रयोग दो से अधिक के लिए होता है ।

Three students are quarreling one another 


Very important rules

निम्नलिखित verbs के बाद कोई conjuction नहीं आयेगा 

Hope आशा करना 

Believe  भरोसा करना 

Suppose कल्पना करना 

Think सोचना 

Afraid  डरना 

Presume  पुर्व धारणा करना

I hope * you will recover soon

I believe*you are a robber

I  think *he is a brilliant student.



Sub1+With/together with/along with/like/as well as/+sub 2

तो verb पहले sub‌के अनुसार  आयेगी 

My boss with his friends is going to Delhi 

Ram as well as his relatives have celebrated Diwali
