The increasing rate of offences has become a serious concern in modern society. Every day, various offences such as murder, robbery, theft, cybercrime, kidnapping and sexual harassment are reported. There are several reasons behind the rising number of offences, including unemployment, poverty, illiteracy, drug addiction and lack of moral values. The misuse of technology has also created new opportunities for cybercriminals. Sometimes, delay in the administration of justice and lack of effective law enforcement encourage offenders. The government should take strict measures to prevent criminal activities. The police system must be strengthened, and courts should ensure speedy trials. Moreover, education and public awareness can play an important role in reducing offences. Every citizen must respect the law and contribute to maintaining peace and social harmony.
