Fraud is  defined in section 17 and misrepresentation is defined in section 18

In fraud any fact is disclosed before any one to enter into  a contract .in fraud malafide intention is always exist.here main target is to cheat someone . any wrong fact is disclosed before someone that he must rely on that fact .contract is voidable under section 19 .the distressed party can go to court to declare contract voidable .

Example -----A has a plot which measurement is 900 gaz  actually but A disclose this fact that the measurements of this house is 1000/

Having relief on this fact B enters into a contract with A to buy this house .here fraud is committed by A .this  contract is voidable at the option of B.

Misrepresentation ---misrepresentation is used in section 18 .there is minor differences in fraud misrepresentation.in misrepresentation any fact is disclosed innocently and without authentic source .in misrepresentation the party is under illusion that this fact is right .the party has malafide intention.

Example A purchased a house from B.the cracks of this house is hidden by attractive paint

But B does not know this fact .B sell to this house to c under this impression that house is  absolutely fine .here misrepresentation is used by B not fraud .but in this condition contract is voidable either by B or by c
